WELCOME! Thank you for your interest in the Greater Daytona Beach Senior Softball Association (GDBSSA). If you are new to GDBSSA, here is some basic information.
All players, age 60 and up, are eligible to play in the GDBSSA. We are dedicated to making softball enjoyable for all who play.
We play in two divisions - Junior division (age 60+) and Senior division (age 70+). The JR division plays games Monday and Wednesday mornings, and the SR division plays games Tuesday and Friday mornings.
We play three seasons each year - Approximate dates are Winter (January-March), Summer (May-July) and Fall (September-November).
Open practices are held throughout the week at various locations. See the dates and times below.
Cost to play is $60 each season which must be paid before playing.
Liability waiver and guidelines acknowledgement must also be on file with the League before playing
Team shirts are available for additional fee of $8 each or $9 for sizes XXL and larger.

Batting Practice Sessions:
Mondays at 9:00am at Coraci Park. This is recommended for Sr. division players.
Gary Klemens has volunteered to continue to host BP sessions on Fridays at 8:30am at All Children's Park (Spruce Creek Park) now that the Fall season is about to begin. ***However, he will host one more BP session this Monday, August 31st at ACP at 8:30am. Last chance for a tune-up before the season starts!!***
John Jones (JJ) has volunteered to host BP sessions on Saturdays at 8:30am at Strickland Park beginning on September 5th

Participants engage in these sessions voluntarily and at their own risk. By attending practice sessions, players acknowledge and assume all risks associated with softball activities. The GDBSSA, its officers, organizers, coaches, and volunteers are not liable for any injuries sustained during these unofficial practice sessions.

The GDBSSA is renting out Jackie Robinson Stadium for League play
Both Sr. and Jr. Divisions will field teams to play on the stadium grounds
